Qualifications
Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Social Sciences, or any other related field from a recognized University.
Possess a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any field in (a) above or any other related field.
Have knowledge and work experience of not less than Ten (10) years in the Public Service, Private Sector or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO), regional or International Organizations, Five (5) of which must have been at Senior Management level.
Have attended and successfully completed a Senior Management Course or Strategic Leadership Programme from Kenya School of Government or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Be a member of a relevant professional body in good standing/current certification.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of Leadership and Strategic Management.
Have excellent communication, interpersonal, networking and collaborative skills.
Have knowledge and clear understanding of Educational Sector, Publishing and Scholarship Industry; as an added advantage.
Responsibilities
Providing leadership in the implementation and evaluation of corporate strategic plans and policy.
Managing the day to day operations of the Company and overseeing legal, regulatory and statutory requirements.
Guiding management and advising the Board on opportunities for investment and business growth.
Developing of and recommending to the Board the short, medium and long term strategies, business plans and annual operating budgets to achieve corporate objectives.
Maintaining a work environment suitable for attracting, developing and retaining a dynamic workforce.
Establishing proper internal monitoring and control systems.
Building relevant organizational capacity to deliver on strategy by guiding, directing and evaluating the work of other senior executives within the organization.
Creating partnerships and linkages at the highest level with key stakeholders to enhance JKFs corporate image.
