Objective
The objective of this consultancy is to produce a short video and take high-resolution photographs that can be used to demonstrate the client user journey across the Tiko digital platform, from enrollment to service uptake, rating & redemption of miles. This video will be used across different implementation countries.
The steps of the user journey to be captured include:
I AM AWARE- This will capture the demand generation activities implemented in the community in partnership with Community Based Organisations (CBOS). The highlights include activation events targeting the youth aged 15-19 years old by CBO mobilizers with IEC materials to create awareness on the Tiko offers available. Also, capture access to various Triggerise social media platforms.
I ENROLL – This refers to the step when the youth decides to enroll on the platform. The youth can enroll via SMS, WhatsApp, telegram or Facebook Messenger for those with phones and via Tiko cards for those with no phones. The enrollment process can either be through a mobilizer or self-enrollment or through a peer. The video should capture all three pathways of enrollment.
I USE – This refers to the youth accessing Tiko offers, especially sexual reproductive health services such as contraceptives and HIV testing at Tiko partner clinics and pharmacies. In addition, the video should cover directly to client delivery model available in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.
I RATE – This refers to the process of youths giving real-time feedback on the services received as a way of creating accountability for quality service delivery, through SMS or WhatsApp.
I EARN AND REDEEM (For mobilizers only)- This refers to the earning made by mobilizers for every effective referral. The mobilizers redeem Tiko miles across partner-shops within the community.
I REFER – This refers to youth’s referring friends for the tiko offers.
I REPEAT – This refers to youths seeking for follow up services through the platform across the selected service delivery points.
Methodology
The consultant will perform the following tasks:
Develop the video concept and scenario to be discussed with the Triggerise team
Present a work plan for the assigned work
Travel within the implementation counties of Mombasa, Nairobi and Kisumu within Kenya
Perform appropriate short interviews with the project partners such as beneficiaries, mobilizers, providers and other stakeholders
Work on the desired products for this consultancy that include a short video and high-resolution photographs
Deliverables/ Expected outputs
The consultant will produce one short video and a database of 50 photographs covering all the aspects of the user journey. Deliverables include:
One short video in high definition (HD)
Video shooting and editing
Narration, translation and subtitles in English / French where necessary
Script development
Full usage rights for music (or music for which copyright has been granted)
One fully produced clip of approximately 5 minutes in length in 1080hp (HD) resolution aimed at sharing with implementing partners, government institutions, CSOs, local stakeholders, local communities as well as international audience
The video must highlight the youth user journey with support from all respective actors on the platform and the impact Tiko offers on the girl’s life and her community. Stories from the youth, mobilizer, provider and traders on how Tiko has impacted their lives will be necessary.
High-resolution photographs
At Least 50 high quality and high-resolution photographs, edited and captioned pictures. The photographs should include:
Target beneficiaries: This focuses on adolescents aged 18-19yrs and young adults aged 20-24yrs, preferably girls and women. They should predominantly be emancipated minors who include married adolescents, young mothers and even commercial sex workers
Platform interaction: This should capture elements of the technology as viewed by youths and actors on phone or via tiko card pathways
Context: The photographs should show the community setting of vulnerable adolescents and youth in Sub Saharan Africa especially within resource-limited settings such an urban /peri-urban informal settlements
Actors supporting access to SRH services: These include the mobilizers, providers and traders at respective steps of the user journey
Report
A detailed report on all photography and filming locations (GPS points) including names and contact details of all individuals or that will appear on film. The report must include at least 5 powerful statements by community members and other stakeholders.
Timing and location
The consultancy will take 10 days including field travel days, editing and reporting days, beginning upon signature of the contract with Triggerise. All travel and accommodation will be covered by the contractor.
Location
The consultant will travel within project implementation sites in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.
Logistical support
Triggerise will facilitate the local assistance in arranging for meetings with the youths, actors, Government representatives, CSOs and local stakeholders.
Eligibility/Qualifications of Consultants
The consultant should have:
Previous experience in producing quality videos and photographs
Exceptional videography and photography skills
Proven ability to work in multicultural environments
Ability to adhere to deadlines and flexibility
