About the role
Implement methods of supply, stock policy and update logistics requirements. Inform the stakeholders.
Send to suppliers the monthly/weekly needs of his/her catalogue.
Anticipate any availability issue regarding raw materials and inform key actors (logistics and production). Make recommendations to minimize impacts and to avoid crisis situation.
Manage raw materials level of stocks.
Ensure availability of new raw material for launches with suppliers.
Develop strong relationship with suppliers (KPIs follow-up, agreement on service level)
Analyze and communicate on all cases involving slow movers and obsolete materials.
Qualifications
A university degree in business or engineering with a bias for supply chain management/Operations management/finance/chemical, process and/or analytical engineering
Knowledge of the import export process and all the relevant documentation involved.
Experience working in the manufacturing sector is an added advantage (2 – 3 years)
Proactive profile with an inner drive to deliver
Ability to think ahead and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in MS-Excel
Capable of reacting appropriately to short and long-term issues and to be decisive
Great skill in planning and delivery within agreed timelines
Splendid team player
Must have legal permit to work in Kenya
