The Role
The Communication & External Affairs Officer works in the Communication & External Affairs department and will be responsible for developing and implementing the Bank’s brand, marketing, internal & external affairs and CSR strategies He/she develops and nurtures relationships with local stakeholders/users and media relations to ensure beneficial relationships between the Bank and the stakeholders.
He/she supports the development of marketing strategy by contributing innovative ideas and providing insights on marketing trends. The incumbent develops and manages content for social media platforms so as to promote the Banks image and brand
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing. Communications or any other Business related field
Minimum 3 years experience in marketing, corporate communications and agency environment in the financial sector
Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesingPhotoshop)
Proficient in Microsoft Office. content management systems, and social media platforms
Competencies & Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a fluent command of English
Self-confidence & dynamo personality
Good creativity and continually brings fresh ideas to the table
Ability to work in a team
Possess good accuracy skills and an eye for detail.
Strong presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills. professional and outgoing personality
Demonstrable track record of working within a target driven environment with the ability to plan / manage own work schedule
Excellent organisational and lime management skills

Self-motivated, strong work ethic and proactive
