Sales Account Director Digital Sales Account Executive (Kenya based)

We are looking for a Sales Account Director to join our Team. We’re looking for somebody with a knack for people, ideas and sales. A person who loves a challenge and doesn’t take no for an answer. The ideal candidate is one who is eager to learn, to contribute to the team and to share ideas. Radio Sales experience is an added bonus – if you ever wanted to convert to the digital world. The position requires daily communication (in-person and video calls) and service of our agencies and brands. You will be comprehensively trained on the product set that you would sell.
This role comprises the following responsibilities

Represent a global platform at the same standard that they do in markets such as the UK or US
Drive new and grow existing account revenues
Achieve quarterly sales targets
Provide day-to-day support to allocated customers
Manage brand direct and agency relationships
Reporting on campaign performance
Activate new customers through strategic selling
Ensure customers are educated and informed of all new Spotify product offerings
Fulfil all role functionalities associated with operations and sales

A typical day consists of:

Educating brands & agencies on our platforms offering
Preparing and presenting proposals (ad sales)
Managing communications with agency & brand & ensuring ad performance is optimal
Liaising with our Account Management and Brand Strategy teams for day-to-day support

REQUIREMENTS
Required skills:

Sales experience (minimum 5 years)
Digital marketing experience
Knowledge of digital advertising products an advantage
Knowledge of programmatic advertising an advantage
Knowledge of South African agency landscape would be an advantage
Excellent presentation skills – spoken and written
Good numerical skills – create Keynote proposals and insertion orders independently
Ambitious, tenacious and positive can-do attitude
Attention to detail
