Projects/Alarms Technician (Eldoret)

Reports To: Projects/Alarms Supervisor,

Location: Eldoret,

Qualifications

Degree/ Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering – Electronic/Telecommunication Option.
3 years’ experience in the technical security industry ,must be experienced in installation and maintenance of Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Vehicle Barriers Systems in line with KSIA technical standards
Exceptional communication skills, commitment, resourcefulness, results oriented and self-driven, Customer Focus, Initiative, Interpersonal Skills, Self-Management, Sales Skills
Technical Survey skills, Computer skills, Telephone handling skills
Report writing
Ability to meet deadlines and flexibility
Must have problem solving skills
Proficiency in English
Flexible in meeting customer needs. May include use of logistics such as motorcycles or alarm response vehicles
The ideal candidate for the above position should also be a team player with drive and initiative and demonstrate ability to achieve results.

Responsibilities

Handle technical activities related to: Breakdowns, maintenance and installations within the time frame as assigned inline with KSIA & KBA standards relating to workmanship
Conduct proper and efficient installations of new products, effectively attend to breakdowns and maintain client’s service schedules
Provide quality service to both internal and external customers by completing all tasks accurately and within the set time frame
Training clients on usage of security systems ensuring customer satisfaction
Complete jobs in a timely manner and hand over to Supervisor for commissioning and subsequent
Commission installations and record necessary records
Proactively respond to customer requests and complaints communicating them to the supervisor & Operations Admin Assistant for follow up
Assist in conducting technical
Ensure re-servicing is conducted according to schedules
Record and maintain technical records i.e. worksheets, service schedules, job cards
Maintain and adhere to good housekeeping practices including litter and technical waste management and cleaning of
Conduct basic incident investigations in line with the concerned
Log movements with control room
Train, support and enable new technicians to perform effectively and efficiently
Undertake administrative duties such as delivering invoices, letters and contracts to clients response supervisor
Maintain good turn-out in uniform and display good customer
Undertake training in systems upgrades according to market demands
Participate in internal and external meetings
Work as a team in collaboration with other technical members of staff
Any other duties that may be assigned by seniors from time to
